Early Caulfield Cup favourite Lights Of Heaven makes her highly anticipated reappearance at the races in the PB Lawrence Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.

The unbeaten Peter Moody-trained mare is at the top of betting at TAB Sportsbet to win the Caulfield Cup on October 15 at $10, with Queensland Oaks and Derby winner Scarlett Lady next best at $11.

Lights Of Heaven hasn't been seen at the races since her Australasian Oaks victory at Morphettville in late March, and is second favourite to win Saturday's race behind popular galloper Whobegotyou (pictured above).

Whobegotyou is also resuming while another horse making a return in the same race is AJC Oaks winner Absolutely.

It's getting to that stage of the year where all the good horses are starting their preparations to what their connections are hoping will be a magnificent Spring Carnival.

A quick check through the other races on the weekend promises to see some fantastic racing for punters.

At Caulfield, the rejuvenated Module is going around in the first, while brilliant juvenile Sepoy makes his return to racing in the Vain Stakes while Golden Slipper runner-up Mosheen and Satin Shoes will be competing in the Quezette Stakes.

In fact the entire card at Caulfield is very strong and Rosehill's San Domenico Stakes card is also competitive.

In the feature, Foxwedge and Karuta Queen make their return to racing and dominate the betting while in the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Starlight Stakes we see the appearance of Pressday, Soul and Atomic Force go up against the in-form Master Of Design.

CANFORD Cliffs, one of the world's best gallopers, was retired earlier this week by his trainer Richard Hannon.

A leg injury is the cause for the sudden retirement which he was suspected to have suffered during his defeat at Glorious Goodwood at the hands of superstar Frankel.

Canford Cliffs retires with a record of seven wins from 11 starts with five Group One wins next to his name.

TONIGHT'S semi-finals of the Breeders Crown at Tabcorp Park Melton will only serve as an appetiser for what is to come at the same course on Sunday week.

Australasian Breeders Crown day on August 21 will see nine Group One races held in what is truly one of harness racing's showpiece events.

Check out all the semi-final action tonight with the first race set to run at 6:43pm on Sky Racing1.
