(Andrew Bensley is a leading commentator with Sky Racing and Sky Sports Radio.)
The final day of the Melbourne Spring Carnival is being held at Sandown on Saturday, and there are still plenty of promising horses going around.
The second race is the Twilight Glow for the three-year-old fillies and you'd love to own a few of these.
Sydney trainer Matt Smith really has enjoyed his time in Melbourne and he says there's no reason why Combat Kitty can't win again.
They did look at the option of tackling the 1600 metre Sandown Guineas but Smith said the 1400 metres is a better option.
A rain-affected track won't concern Combat Kitty either.
Another interesting Sydney visitor in the Twilight Glow is the Anthony Cummings-trained Ever The Same.
The lightly raced filly came straight to Melbourne after her fast-finishing third at Rosehill.
On Tuesday morning, Ever The Same galloped at Sandown and handled the Melbourne direction without any hassles.
Cummings says she's always shown good promise.
In the final race at Sandown Pakenham trainer John Gunning predicts another forward showing from his mare, Hi Belle.
During this preparation Hi Belle has thrived on racing. Wins at Bairnsdale and Caulfield, along with a strong second last start, has been a confidence booster for Gunning.
Jockey Craig Williams told Gunning he could take Hi Belle to the Myer Classic with confidence but the trainer believes Saturday's 1500 metre race was the perfect trip.
If the rain does arrive for Sandown that won't worry Goulburn trainer, Wendy Roche.
She saddles up the former Lloyd Williams-owned Tindal in the Kevin Heffernan Stakes and an easy trial win at Cranbourne prompted Roche to predict a first-up win.
In Tindal's first campaign for Roche, when second to Jerezana at Scone, an airway blockage was detected.
An operation has solved that problem and Roche feels the horse is a lot more forward this time around.

Harness racing has captured my attention this week as we close in on this month's SEW Eurodrive Miracle Mile at Tabcorp Park Menangle.
The Kiwis already have snared an invitation with Newcastle Mile winner Raglan, but there's the possibility we may be watching another on Saturday night at Menangle.
Former American pacer, Lisagain, is having his first start for Tim and Anthony Butt and according to comments made by the trainer and driver, a big performance is expected.
On Wednesday morning, Lisagain trialled at Tabcorp Park Menangle which had been top dressed and was probably three seconds slower than normal.
Despite that, Lisagain ran home the final 800 in 55.4 seconds and was un-extended for the final quarter in 27.3.
Prior to joining the Butt team, Lisagain had built an impressive record in the Northern Hemisphere winning 17 times with 21 placings, the most recent in late July.
The winner of Saturday night's Coca Cola Amatil Sprint automatically gains a start in the Miracle Mile meaning there will be plenty of fireworks in the Group Two race.

And finally, I'm hoping trainer Con Karakatsanis will train another city winner at Rosehill on Saturday.
Riva De Lago has returned in super form. The rise to 1500 metres should not be a problem and it looks well in with 54 kilograms.
