SHEIKH MOHAMMED's Darley operation was pleasingly prominent at this week's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale so the vast operation will be churning out more of the same in years to come.

Venturing out of town, we saw two team members make excellent debuts in for Lee Freedman and Peter Snowden.

ANGUISSOLA (two-year-old filly by Lonhro - Ingres, by Quest For Fame) handled arduous conditions a treat to lead throughout over the Ballarat 1100m.

She's from the family of early-comers Hockney and Utrillo and what really impressed was the manner in which she put nearly five panels on the field.

BYZANTINE (three-year-old filly by Elusive Quality - Cleopatra's Girl, by At Talaq) had also fared well in a Rosehill barrier trial prior to her Kembla cakewalk last Saturday.

There's a bit of size about this one and no wonder, her ill-fated half-brother Mummify was a strapping individual.

Peter Snowden's up-and-comer streaked clear with a 1400m maiden and she's tough like big brother - the brown overcame a few negatives to trounce her rivals.

There's also a Sheikh Mohammed connection with Fred Kersley's STARLIGHT LADY (three-year-old filly by Fantastic Light - Dancing Starlight, by Atticus) - her jet-setting sire now stands at Darley's Japanese arm.

Kersley's filly was scintillating scoring in a 1400m event at Pinjarra in the West. Only racing for the second time, and still a maiden, she rounded up more experienced rivals in a ratings-based affair.

As we trawl around Australasia seeking progressive types, FANCIFUL (two-year-old filly by Jet Spur - Systems Go, by Sea Road) is one to support in Queensland's north.

This baby sure looks better than most of her peers in that area after sizzling up the Cluden Park straight at Townsville on April 1.

Fresh from a four-month holiday, the chestnut raced more prominently than in a couple of previous displays but again displayed terrific acceleration.

And, heading across the Tasman, there's a bit of a prospect named TANALISED (four-year-old gelding by Keeper - Athenri, by Zabeel) rising through the ranks.

At start seven, this distinctive bay treated his Ellerslie opposition with contempt to score over 1600m on April 3.

That made it three wins so far for the flashy individual - as fine a stakes prospect as you'll see.

* A horse that I mentioned in last week's column, Faster Stronger, started in Ballarat on Wednesday and finished sixth. A second horse, No Comment, will run at Wyong today (Friday) in Race 8, No. 4.

** From my column on March 26, Summer Dash ran last Saturday at Kembla Grange and won Race 5; King of Mountains ran at Caulfield last Saturday and finished fourth in Race 3; Inablitz ran at Moonee Valley on Thursday and finished fourth in Race 6. Jerezana will run tomorrow (Saturday) at Randwick in Race 2, No.15.

Tony Brassel is senior form analyst with Sky Racing.
