The first non quarterback picked in your fantasy team this year will be who?
Ed Wyatt: Sav Rocca. Just kidding. It would have been Houston's Arian Foster, who served me very well last year, but his recent injury is a worry. The safe pick is probably Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson.
Nick Tedeschi: In my keeper league I have Chris Johnson, so that is a worry. Players who hold out usually come back pretty quickly but without a preseason under their belt, they tend to suffer soft tissue injuries. So the ever-consistent Adrian Peterson will be my first non-QB fantasy pickup in my other leagues, if I get the chance. Having said that, I am going to break a personal rule of never taking a QB in the first round this year and pick up Michael Vick if he falls to me. His numbers last year were phenomenal.
Ashley Browne: Going to be boring and select Arian Foster from the Texans, because that's what all the chest sheets a telling me to do. But I rode to victory in my fantasy league last year on the back of Oakland's Darren McFadden and would be tempted to do so again.
7. The game you are most looking forward to this year is...? And why?
EW: The two games between the Jets and Patriots. Two evenly matched division rivals that really (even in this politically correct world) don't like each other. Brady and Sanchez, Belichick and Ryan...hell, it's Boston and New York. You can't beat that!
NT: Aside from San Francisco at St Louis in week 17 where the Niners will finally end their playoff drought and make me a happy man, I find it hard to go past Week 15: Baltimore-San Diego: "The contrasting styles and expected meeting in the AFC title game makes this is fascinating affair in week 15. The Ravens are more likely to need this win but the Chargers may be looking for a first week bye. Rivers against the Ravens defence is a salivating matchup.
AB: Jets-Giants Christmas Eve at the newly-christened MetLife Stadium. Jets coach Rex Ryan lives in a fantasy world where he believes the Jets are the kings of Gotham. Bring it.
8. Sssh, don't tell anyone, but this player is going to become a star this year...
EW: A few thoughts here: Atlanta QB Matt Ryan is probably already a star, but I see him becoming a Pro Bowl regular. I like Cleveland QB Colt McCoy, but he's probably a year or two away. From what I've seen in the pre-season, Kevin Kolb could have a big season. And New Orleans' rookie running back Mark Ingram will have a huge impact on the Saints' offense.
NT: San Diego wide receiver Vincent Jackson is already highly regarded but he has the potential to become a truly elite wideout with a full preseason under his belt, a top class quarterback in Phillip Rivers and a string of other receiving options in Antonio Gates, Malcolm Floyd and Patrick Crayton, he can join the top level.
AB: He's a quarterback, so he already has a profile, but Sam Bradford of the Rams is in his second year and could make the jump to elite status this season. He has an arm, he is smart and he is driven.
Our Playoff Predictions
AFC
EW: New England, Pittsburgh, Houston, San Diego win divisions. Baltimore and NY Jets are wildcards.
AFC Championship: New England v San Diego
NT: New England, Baltimore, Indianapolis, San Diego.
Wildcards: Pittsburgh, Miami
AFC Championship: San Diego will host Baltimore with the Chargers just prevailing.
AB: San Diego, Houston, Pittsburgh, New York Jets, Baltimore (wildcard), New England (wildcard).
AFC Championship: New York Jets to beat New England
NFC
EW: Philadelphia, Green Bay, Atlanta, St. Louis win divisions. New Orleans, NY Giants are wildcards.
NFC Championship: Philadelphia v New Orleans
NT: Philadelphia, Minnesota, New Orleans, San Francisco. Wildcards: Chicago, New York Giants
NFC Championship: New Orleans take on Philadelphia with the Saints advancing to the Super Bowl.
AB: St.Louis, New Orleans, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Atlanta (wildcard), Detroit (wildcard)
NFC Championship: Green Bay to beat Philadelphia
SuperBowl
EW: I'm going heart over head. Eagles to win for my dearly-departed grandmother.
NT: The Super Bowl will be played between the Saints and the Chargers in what will be a brilliant offensive game. I think the Chargers finally break their drought though Norv Turner as head coach fills me with fear so that is not something I would stake my life on.
AB: Green Bay 33, New York Jets 20
