ALBERT Proud has become the second Brisbane AFL player with a history of off-field trouble to be charged over a pre-season tangle with police.
Already dealing with the dramas surrounding problematic star forward Brendan Fevola, the Lions confirmed yesterday that 22-year-old rookie-list player Proud had been suspended by the club over a weekend incident.
Proud was charged with assaulting a police officer in Brisbane on Saturday night and will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 8.
