THE mind games have begun ahead of Sunday morning's final, with defender Sasa Ognenovski declaring Japan is intimidated by Australia's physicality.
The 2010 Asian player of the year is no stranger to Japanese opposition, having faced off against J-League sides in the Asian Champions League with former team Adelaide United and current club Seongnam Ilhwa in South Korea.
While the 31-year-old respects Japan's skill and mobility, he believes the Socceroos could hold a mental edge heading into the decider at Khalifa Stadium.
