FOR so long cricket's hard luck story, Shane Watson has won a second successive Allan Border Medal as part of an historic treble.
A runaway winner, Watson capped off an outstanding 12 months by also winning the Test and one-day player of the year.
He claimed the Allan Border Medal by 100 votes from Mike Hussey. Mitchell Johnson was a further two votes behind in third place.
