GLENN Maxwell fired Victoria to an amazing one-wicket win over Tasmania with the fastest half-century in Australian one-day cricket last night.
Chasing 259 to win, the Bushrangers looked beaten at 8-192, before Maxwell belted 61 from only 27 balls, reaching his 50 from just 19, with eight fours and three sixes..
Peter Siddle (25) also starred with the bat, hitting the winning run off the last ball of the night.
The result almost certainly gives Victoria a berth in the final.
