VICTORIAN fast bowler Dirk Nannes has implored the Australian selectors to send him to the World Cup amid speculation they will opt for batsman Mike Hussey.
Nannes will have to cool his heels after Cricket Australia yesterday announced it would delay naming a replacement for the injured Doug Bollinger until later in the tournament.
The decision comes amid increasing speculation that seelctors are waiting to see the Sheffield Shield performance of a recovering Mike Hussey, who is this week due to play his first match after hamstring surgery.
