FOOTY has failed to deliver a $1 million man for the second season running.
Only four players earned more than $900,000 last year, even with AFL-approved club marketing payments. It leaves league chief Andrew Demetriou, who took home $2.2 million, as easily the game's highest paid figure.
The four top-paid AFL players last year - earning between $900,000 and $1 million - were believed to have been Chris Judd, Nick Riewoldt, Jonathan Brown and Matthew Pavlich.
