PROJECT Folau is almost certain to get its first road test when Greater Western Sydney Giants take on Port Adelaide in a practice match on Saturday.
League recruit Israel Folau has been pedalling a bike for most of the pre-season while recovering from ankle surgery but coach Kevin Sheedy says he is "sick of waiting" and there will be almost no excuse for the code hopper not to front up for his new team.
The veteran coach said he would try his charge in the backline and forward line and warned that his closing speed and league background could make for some uncomfortable moments should Folau run anybody down.
