Jefferson Farfán scored twice as FC Schalke 04 came from behind to beat Valencia CF 4-2 on aggregate, sealing their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2007/08.
Felix Magath's side have now won all four of their home games in the UEFA Champions League this season, although tonight they had to do it the hard way after a 17th-minute Ricardo Costa header tipped matters in Valencia's favour. Goals either side of half-time from Farfán and competition debutant Mario Gavranović turned the tie upside-down, Farfán adding gloss to victory in the fourth minute of added time with a lovely clipped finish.
