A TELEPHONE call from Panthers captain Petero Civoniceva to Timana Tahu helped convince the controversial centre Penrith was the club to help him resurrect his tattered career.
After keeping a low profile since becoming embroiled in a race row at an Aboriginal knockout tournament last year, Tahu finally appeared yesterday to announce he had signed a one-year deal at Penrith.
The former Eels centre won't play against his former club at Parramatta Stadium tomorrow night, but will start training with his new teammates on Monday with a view to filling a spot on the bench for the club's following game against Cronulla.
