THE Wallabies' hopes of exploiting local Christchurch support for coach Robbie Deans at this year's World Cup have been dashed as the aftershocks of the February 22 earthquake just keep coming.
New Zealand's Rugby World Cup minister Murray McCully announced yesterday that all seven Cup matches scheduled for Christchurch in September-October, including two quarter-finals, will have to be moved from the earthquake-ravaged capital of the South Island.
The two quarter-finals will be switched to Auckland's Eden Park, but that should not impact on the Wallabies' plans unless they fail to win their group. However, new venues will need to be found for two of their pool matches, against Italy on September 11 and Russia on October
