After going nearly two years without a victory, Karrie Webb is suddenly riding high as the 37-year-old Aussie has won two straight tournaments on the LPGA Tour.
In late February the World Golf Hall of Fame member bagged a win in the HSBC Champions in Singapore, and on Sunday emerged victorious in the inaugural Founders Cup.
Both wins - the 37th and 38th of her stellar career - were close affairs, with Webb edging Japan's Chie Arimura by a stroke in Singapore, and by the same margin over Brittany Lincicome and Paula Creamer in the Founders Cup in Phoenix. Lincicome had a chance to force a sudden-death playoff with Webb, but couldn't get up and down for par on the 54th hole.
Webb's previous title came in late March 2009 in the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International at Papago Golf Course in Arizona.
On Sunday, Webb met with the media to talk about her recent fine play.
