The mystery buyer is believed to be mines millionaire Nathan Tinkler, who owns the colt's sire, Casino Prince.
The colt's trainers will be the Hawkes family, who train Black Caviar's three-year-old full brother Moshe, winner of three of four starts.
Black Caviar's trainer Peter Moody and her senior part-owner Neil Werrett were under-bidders.
