Value to be had in Saints-Dons: SharkTo me, the Saints are good things. Yes, they've lost Lenny Hayes and have been beaten by Essendon the last three times they've met (when the Bombers started at odds of $6 or more).
But they've played off in the last two grand finals while, to my way of thinking, the Bombers are no better than a mid-table team. Now the betting in this game is virtually 50-50! People have got such short memories.
Had the cards fallen St Kilda's way this season, they could so easily have had two wins, rather than a loss and a draw. (Geelong, conversely, could just as easily have had two defeats rather than two wins.)
