1.NSW are on a level playing field now.
Queensland have had a massive advantage during the past five years. With Ricky Stuart now in charge, it's become clear the job was too big for a club coach, particularly in terms of competing with the Maroons, who have had Mal Meninga doing that job alone for so long. Stuart has been able to spend a lot of time focusing on the style of footy he wants to play, watching teams closely, and he's been able to go around and talk to the coaches of the key players, and get some tips on them. You can't do that when you're coaching another club team. We were behind in that area, and the fact Queensland also had a better team on paper meant we were virtually no hope. We're a hope now.
