Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans scored two tries in three minutes midway through the second half to catapult the Sea Eagles to a 34-10 win at Suncorp Stadium where, 48 hours earlier, Queensland triumphed 16-12 over NSW.
It was the Broncos' third loss in a row, and not even the presence of Queensland Origin players Ben Hannant, Corey Parker or Jharal Yow Yeh could save the day, with Manly scoring 30 unanswered points in the second half.
Queensland and Broncos skipper Darren Lockyer and rampaging forward Sam Thaiday were rested, while Manly's sole NSW Origin representative, captain and prop Jason King, started.
