In his weekly BPL Vidcast, Wayne Carey says he doubts about whether Essendon's young list will have the staying power to make the finals. He says it is always a danger with inexperienced teams that they shoot out of the barriers but find it difficult to maintain that pace throughout a long season.
Of Shane Warne's Tweeting during the St Kilda game on Saturday, Carey said some were a little misdirected but agrees with him about the Saints forwards having to play a lot smarter to help out their captain, Nick Riewoldt. Carey also touches on this weekend's Bulldogs-St Kilda game and reckons the loser is gone for the year.
The dual premiership captain talks about his admiration for the hard-ball get kings of the AFL: Joel Selwood, Chris Judd, Andrew Swallow and others.
And he also discusses briefly his comeback to football in the EJ Whitten match next month - his first serious appearance since his retirement seven years ago.
