Ricky Stuart took a chance, and now his side has a chance - to create history and end five years of Queensland domination in State of Origin.
Stuart's decision to select only two specialist frontrowers and play captain Paul Gallen at prop paid off last night as NSW produced a gripping victory before a sold-out crowd at ANZ Stadium.
No one was better than Gallen, although his performance could have repercussions for Origin III after he appeared to catch Greg Inglis with a high shot late in the game. But Origin III can wait. Last night was about celebrating a Blues win - and a personal victory for Stuart.
