WESTERN Bulldogs forward Justin Sherman has been banned for four AFL games for racial vilifying a Gold Coast player.
Sherman has als apologised to the undisclosed Suns player after attending conciliation meetings.
He has been ordered to attend an education program and pay $5000 to a charity chosen by the Suns.
The incident occurred in Saturday's match at Metricon Stadium which the Bulldogs won by 22 points.
The Suns player accepted Sherman's apology and agreed that, together with the sanction handed to Sherman, it was an acceptable way to conclude the matter.
