Pearson, 24, is happy to accept all the attention and expectation that automatically accompany the brilliant unbeaten run she has compiled in Europe in the past month (culminating in another impressive victory at the Diamond League meet in London on Saturday night) because she believes she deserves it.
"You want to be the best in the world and that's what comes with it," she said after downing another classy field at Crystal Palace in her last race before the world championships begin in Daegu on August 27.
