Wallabies revive World Cup hopes

The Wallabies found themselves down 6-0 at half-time and were unable to squeeze out a try in the early exchanges when half the Springbok starting team might have been rusty from six-to-eight weeks away from match play.

In the end, the Wallabies earned that advantage over the final quarter with their superior match conditioning.

The intent was certainly there from the Australians in the intense yet action-packed opening 40 minutes at Kings Park.

In the early minutes, a long ball from five-eighth Quade Cooper gave fullback Kurtley Beale and winger James O'Connor room for a slick interchange.
