Concerns over Gallop's safety at the game came as Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler accused the NRL of robbing fans of a home final at Brookvale Oval - a claim later debunked by the league.
Gallop will venture to Brookvale for the first time since he suspended fullback Brett Stewart for four weeks in 2009 for being intoxicated at the club's launch. Stewart was charged later that evening with sexual misconduct, but was acquitted in court last year.
It will be Gallop's first appearance at a Storm game since the NRL punished the club last season for systemic cheating of the salary cap over five years. There has been no love lost between Gallop and either club since the relationships broke down.
