Big names forced out of US OpenThe sixth seed Robin Soderling's US Open campaign was over before it began when the Swede was forced to withdraw through illness.
Soderling had been struggling with a wrist injury, while he pulled out of the Masters tournament in Cincinnati with throat problems, which doctors believe may be related to the virus from which he is now suffering.
