And Cummins submitted another claim for Test selection in the Newlands nets on Sunday, bowling with the pace, accuracy and venom with which he struck Hussey in the chest at a practice session 10 days ago.
Should Cummins get the nod, he will become Australia's youngest Test quick at 18 years and 185 days.
