Ji Dong-Wong scored with the last kick of the game to give Sunderland a famous victory as Manchester City failed to capitalise on Manchester United's shock home defeat by Blackburn Rovers.
Despite dominating possession 65-35 per cent, City were frustrated by Sunderland for much of the game and were caught with the ultimate sucker punch when Ji linked up with Stephane Sessegnon, rounded Joe Hart and slotted the ball into the empty net to spark wild celebrations at the Stadium of Light.
