THE irrepressible Bernard Tomic has booked a dream fourth round date with Roger Federer after climbing from the Australian Open canvas in an epic five-setter.
The 19-year-old proved his grit and guts run deep to overhaul World No.13 Alexandr Dolgopolov 4-6 7-6 (7-0) 7-6 (8-6) 2-6 6-3 and will tomorrow shoot for a quarter-final berth against his Swiss idol.
The pair have faced off just once before, with Tomic losing in four sets to the 16-time major winner at last October's Davis Cup world group qualifier on grass in Sydney.
