In this week's BPL Twenty20 questionnaire, outspoken South Sydney chief executive SHANE RICHARDSON talks about his hero (who's never graced a sporting field), his most over-used phrase and the sport that bores the pants off him.
Shane Richardson is the chief executive of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and one of the NRL's most colourful and outspoken figures. He is the second longest serving CEO in the game. In 1993, he moved from Queensland to take up his first role in the NRL with the Cronulla Sharks where he stayed for five years before accepting a position in the UK Super league as CEO with Hull FC. Richardson then returned to Australia as part of the team that, in 2003, took the Penrith Panthers to only their second premiership, a moment he talks about, below. The following year, he joined the Rabbitohs where - with celebrity owners Russell Crowe (pictured, above left) and Peter Holmes a'Court - he has worked to ensure the club's financial stability. He lives in Coogee with his wife Kate.
